It is a typical habit of the Germans south of Frankfurt only to say half of a word and to forget the rest, so it is sometimes written like that. I think it stands for "das" (=the) so it means "das Baggers", could Bagger perhaps be the cook's/manager's/cat of faciliy managers' name?
