I have also been “camping” a few times in the last three month (to be honest, I had a piece of high-tech-equipment with me: an assault rifle) but even I was able to keep my blog somewhat up-to-date.

I plan to move to nz; therefor I thought I would do some research through –YouTube. I came across your video on the kiwi accent and still watch and laugh with you. I lived in Germany for ten years myself, I liked it there but I sure New Zealand will have my heart.

Lekker, if I’m not mistaken, means tasty or delicious. But if you say that a person is “hot” then you say that her/him is a “lekker ding” in Dutch…

What area did you go to?

I did two years of national service despite the fact that I hate camping, in humid tents with smelly sleeping bags. But, actually, after a nice walk in the park, it’s okay.

Just replace “the park” by “the Black Forest in mid-winter”, and “a nice walk” by “35 km with 30 kg of luggage between roll call at 0600 and dismissal at 0300 for a week”.
The humid tent and the smelly bag become synonymous with “heaven on earth”.
